“Thank you very much for your book on ‘Attitude”. It was 100% good stuff that we all need to absorb and live it.” Steve Spurrier

"Ernie Carwile's newest book boldly reminds us again of the vital importance of how our attitude literally creates our experiences. It should be required reading for everyone on our planet." John Penberthy

PageOneLit.com:  Where did you grow up …?

Ernie Carwile:My father was an Air Force Officer, thus I lived all over the world and was born in Munich, Germany. Where I wasn’t so conscious of reading a lot, I guess I still did. I have trouble remembering my growing up years (because I dissociated, my technique for coping), though I do remember the accomplishment of reading three small books in one day when I was seven or eight years old. But as for writing, it never even crossed my mind until it just sprung itself upon me early one morning later in my life.

PageOneLit.com:  Why do you write?

Ernie Carwile: I remember reading Ranier Maria Rilke’s little book, LETTERS TO A YOUNG POET. In it he asked, “… ask yourself in the most silent hour of your night; must I write?”

For me, the answer was yes.

PageOneLit.com: What is your definition of ATTITUDE?

Ernie Carwile: Attitude is simply how you perceive life. Truly I say to you, how you perceive is exactly what you will experience. I am coming to understand that any event you see, whether it be something wonderful or horrific, your response to it -- how you see it -- is everything.

PageOneLit.com: What is your favorite quote and story?

Ernie Carwile: It is tough to be asked to choose my favorite quote and story in the ATTITUDE book … but the quote that is on the back of the book might be my favorite for obvious reasons: “It is truly a spectacular awakening when you realize, for the first time, that it is only YOU who is limiting yourself.”

As for my favorite story … probably the one about the African shoe salesman, and you’ll have to read the book to discover its magnificent lesson.

PageOneLit.com: Explain “It’s Not What You See, It’s How You See.

Ernie Carwile: I think I covered this in question #3, but let me strongly affirm that this book, as well as all the others in the series, will profoundly and literally change your life for the better.

PageOneLit.com: Who are your spiritual and inspirational writers?

Ernie Carwile:  Certainly those that you mentioned, along with the book ONENESS, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Peter Russell and Eckhart Tolle.

PageOneLit.com: Why should readers buy THE STORYTELLER 1 book?

Ernie Carwile: THE STORYTELLER 1 began my writing career and started the whole series. I self-published it and interestingly, within two weeks of having made the decision to do so, the universe played a joke on me and I had two Publishing Houses contact me with interest in the book. I laughed at the irony, but am very, very glad with my decision to self-publish.

As to why someone might want to buy and read it, first of all, a lady who has purchased many of my books and regularly gives them out to others just purchased three more copies of THE STORYTELLER 1. She left the order on my voice mail which said, “This metaphysical stuff can sometimes be hard to understand but THE STORYTELLER shows how simple yet profound it can be.” (Don’t you know I just love that woman).

Also a very, very rare thing occurred with this book. I received a rave review from the very prestigious LIBRARY JOURNAL who compared the book to internationally, best selling author Mitch Albom’s book, THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN. This was so unique because the LIBRARY JOURNAL reviews so few new books which enter into the marketplace each year (only about 3%), almost never a self-published book

PageOneLit.com:  What’s next?

Ernie Carwile:  I will first finish the remaining eight books in the series. The catalyst for the fifteen-book series came from my fondness for quotes and I read them by the thousands. I love to grasp the powerful meanings exposed from so few words as only quotes can do. One day, while reading another book of quotes, it was as if the clouds parted and I was able to recognize that there were recurrent themes being written about in every generation. Tracking this back over the past 2500 years to the time of Plato, I was able to identify fifteen of these recurrent themes; Thus, the series of fifteen books. What is so unique about these books beyond their invaluable lessons that will definitely enhance everyone’s living skills is that the information is so concentrated in 100 or so pages. It only takes about thirty minutes to read them, but they have proven to be quite powerful.

Next, I will finish Storyteller 2 & 3. These books also contain things our world very much needs to hear.

Then. I plan on writing a two or three mystery books involving lost treasure, another strong interest of mine.

PageOneLit.com:Hobbies?

Ernie Carwile: Eating, drinking, writing, reading and watching movies are certainly great hobbies of mine. But also, I have discovered that one of the most enjoyable things I do is thinking. To be with another person or persons where there are no parameters or restrictions on any thoughts you may have, has the potential for those involved to lead to such original thoughts that will simply blow your mind. It is spirituality at its finest!
