Pageonelit.com: Where did
you grow up and was reading and writing a part of your life?
Who were your earliest influences and why?
Floyd Fusselman: I grew
up in Cheyenne, Wyoming and all of my teachers made reading and
writing a part of my life. My earliest influences were my grandmother
and father because they were avid readers and they remembered
what they read.
Pageonelit.com: Why did you write ENVIRONMENTAL
CONCERNS? Is this your first book?
Floyd Fusselman: I wrote Environmental
Concerns because I had a difficult time remembering all the
environmental acronyms. I started compiling all of the acronyms
that I had acquired over the years of
working in the
environmental field, attending meeting, seminars, work shops
- industry, legal and governmental. When I almost had the project
complete, I thought that probably others may benefit from this
book, also. So, I went to work to get it published. This is my
first book and a real learning experience.
Pageonelit.com: Tell us
about your professional experience in the environmental field/industry.
Floyd Fusselman: I have a degree in environmental
quality control from Prescott College. I have held positions
of Environmental Consultant, Senior Environmental Engineer, Environmental
Engineer, Environmental Technician, Youth Leader, and Citizen.
I am a member of Who's Who and have been a member of numerous
environmental associations. I have worked in the pulp and paper
industry, saw mills, tree farms, agricultural farms, power plants,
mining, trucking, commercial land, railroads, commercial buildings,
and the cement industry. I have done all aspects of environmental
work in most of the above areas.
Pageonelit.com: What are
some of our major environmental concerns in the United States
and do you see a better understanding and responsibility in Y2K?
Floyd Fusselman: One major
concern or should be for part of the nation is enough potable
water to sustain the current life style. Another concern of mind
is the building of residential housing on farm land which will
eventually cause a shortage of food. I think Y2K is off to a
good start in controlling emissions, except for the automobile.
Pageonelit.com: What has
been your feedback from readers on ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS?
Floyd Fusselman: I have
received many comments that they had no idea that there was so
many acronyms in the environmental field.

your favorite writers and why?
Floyd Fusselman: John Grisham is one of
my favorite writers because he started as a self publisher and
is a well known writer today.
